Professional frogman Courtney Brown tows a 55-foot scale model of the sunken liner Titanic during work on the film Raise the Titanic! (released in 1980.) The screen version of the best-selling novel by Clive Cussler dramatizes an attempt to raise the 46,000-ton wreck of the Titanic, which is 2 1/2 miles down on the floor of the North Atlantic. Falácia pode ser definida como erro de raciocínio, como argumento sem consistência lógica, que não tem, pois, validade para sustentar a conclusão afirmada. Uma falácia leva a tomar o falso por verdadeiro.
Quando cometida de forma involuntária, chama-se paralogismo e quando realizada de forma proposital, visando confundir o interlocutor, chama-se sofisma.
Os raciocínios falaciosos são tipificados no estudo da lógica em diferentes classes.
A depender do modo como são classificados, eles podem ser agrupados em duas categorias básicas:
falácias formais e falácias não-formais.
A primeira se refere à forma incorreta de concatenar as premissas para obter a conclusão.
A segunda se refere a uma falha semântica na assunção das premissas, por inadvertência ou ambiguidade linguística, gerando uma falsa conclusão com aparência de verdade.

Superego, Supereu (Überich) designa na teoria psicanalítica uma das três instâncias dinâmicas do aparelho psíquico.
É a parte moral psique e representa os valores da sociedade.
O superego divide-se em dois subsistemas: o Ideal do ego, que dita o bem a ser procurado; e a consciência moral (al. Gewissen), que determina o mal a ser evitado[1][2].
O superego tem três objetivos:
O superego forma-se após o ego, durante o esforço da criança de introjetar os valores recebidos dos pais e da sociedade a fim de receber amor e afeição. Ele pode funcionar de uma maneira bastante primitiva, punindo o indivíduo não apenas por ações praticadas, mas também por pensamentos; outra característica sua é o pensamento dualista (tudo ou nada, certo ou errado, sem meio-termo)[1][2].
Os psicopatas têm um id dominante e um superego muito reduzido, o que lhes tolhe o remorso, sobressaindo a falta de consciência moral[4].
O superego nem sempre é consciente, muitos valores e ideais podem ser despercebidos pelo eu consciente.
